Miko Taylor

Hello, my name is Mitchiko Taylor (nickname Miko). I am the mother of three children, (one son and two daughters). Another blessing is my granddaughter who is 5 years old. I have worked for eight years as a teacher’s assistant in the Suffolk Public Schools Special Education Department. This was a job that touched my heart. It was during this time that I realized my journey in life was not complete. I needed a way to reach a much larger population and physically help the stressed and weary. My true goal in life is to make people feel better, both physically and mentally. It was then that I looked into massage therapy.

I attended the Advanced Fuller School of Massage and began working at Just for The Health of It as a student. I have since completed my education and have become a full time team player at the shop. Some of my training includes Swedish / Therapeutic massage, Deep Tissue massage, Pre-natal massage and my favorite… Hot Stone Therapy massage. Since finishing school I have continued my education at Upledger Institute studying Lymph Drainage Therapy. I have two more classes and will become certified as a Lymph Drainage Specialist.

Other dreams and aspirations include going to college to seek a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. This will benefit the education that I have and allow me to better help my clients.

I take my job very seriously and my ambition is to touch the lives of those who are in need. I look forward to meeting our new clients as well as continuing to help those existing clients.

Remember… life is precious… so please enjoy every minute.
